This page offers the possibility to create a SlippyMap based on OpenLayers are OpenStreetMap-Tiles a bit more comfortable. The generated map can then be downloaded and uploaded to your own webspace. At the moment, it is not possible to host it on this site.

Warning: Since the information entered is mainly 'saved' by keeping it in the form, all data may be lost if you leave the "Create map"-Page. The input should be saved in the session, however to be on the safe side you shouldn't leave the page with the form, until you are finished (and e.g. open the Help in a new window). You should definately choose the language before you start working.

The OpenLayers-Update to Version 2.12 has deprecated some components that are used by the files created in this tool. Until this tool can be fully updated, the old OpenLayers Version has to be used and included into the map, or else an error will occur. Thus, there is an additional download of openlayers.zip necessary now.

Already created maps can be temporarily fixed by download the openlayers.zip, extracting it in the same folder as the map.html, which should create a subfolder "openlayers" containing a "OpenLayers.js" as well as 2 subfolders. Then, you need to open the map.html and change the following line:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://openlayers.org/api/OpenLayers.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="openlayers/OpenLayers.js"></script>

This will then point to your local copy of the old OpenLayers version. See also the help page.
